During the development of your vehicle, Acura engineers worked closely with the original equipment tire manufacturer to develop a tire that optimizes all the performance attributes of your vehicle. Extensive testing was done in the lab, on the track, and on the road to ensure that the tires developed for your Acura provide the right balance of performance, comfort, wear, and fuel economy.
No other tire goes through that same Acura development process or testing to ensure the same level of performance. When you replace your tires with tires that were originally specified for your vehicle, you'll maintain the same performance and enjoyment with your Acura that you've had since day one. For these reasons, the original equipment tire is the only tire Acura recommends for your vehicle.
DCH Montclair Acura may have other tire options available that vary in certain specifications from your vehicle's original tires. These tires may share some characteristics of the original tires, but because of the number of variable design characteristics, they may perform differently, potentially altering the ride comfort, interior noise, wear rate, fuel economy, steering feel, snow traction, and wet and dry handling and braking performance you may be accustomed to.
Although we recommend that you maintain your vehicle's original performance by choosing Acura specified tires, you may have other needs that could be met with another tire that was not tested by or developed in conjunction with acura. Our DCH Montclair Acura service consultants can help you choose the tires that are best suited to your needs. Ask us today.
